Bettersizer 2600 Laser Particle Size Analyzer Certified as Internationally Advanced

Guided Reading: Chinese Society of Particuology (CSP) has certified Bettersizer 2600 laser particle analyzer, which is armed with various innovative technologies and batch production capability, as internationally advanced. Also, it is appraised that Bettersizer 2600 has filled a scientific and technological gap domestically.

Bettersizer 2600 Particle Size Analyzer Technology and Product Evaluation Meeting was held on June 18th at Bettersize Instruments Corporation. Bettersizer 2600 has got agreed approval from experts of CSP and obtained the authentication of scientific and technological achievements.



The experts of CSP, accompanied by general manager Qingyun Dong, first visited the exhibition hall, production line, R&D center and research laboratory to check the capabilities of manufacturing, supply, R&D as well as research capability of Bettersize Instruments. Established in 1995, Bettersize now covers 10,000 square meters. It has three independent instrument manufacturing lines, R&D center, and a delicate research lab, which enable us to provide high-quality instruments to end users.



At the meeting, Qingyun Dong introduced the foundation and the development of Bettersize to the experts. Jilai Fan gave an account of operation, research, economic and social benefits and user conditions of Bettersizer 2600; then the R&D engineers delivered a speech about multi-function sample feeding system and high-speed sampling system of the machine. Bettersizer 2600 is a high-performance laser particle size analyzer independently developed by Bettersize Instruments. Its development was announced successful at the end of 2017. It is a leading product of Bettersize product line popular among more than 200 users in pharmaceutical, battery material, ceramic, metal & nonmetal powder, pesticide, F&B, cement and other industries. At present, the instrument has been authorized with 4 patents for invention, and 3 patents for utility model. What's more, Bettersizer 2600 has got the European CE certification and the US FDA21 CFR Part 11 certification, and the Excellent New Product Award in Annual Conference of China Scientific Instruments 2018.


The experts reviewed the materials, listened to the project team's work report, research report and on-site test report, and made on-site inspections and inquiries. Finally, they agreed that the Bettersizer 2600 has following characteristics and advantages:

Firstly, the invention of Fourier and Inverse Fourier Optical System with single light beam and single lens as well as high-speed full angle signal detection system make the test repeatability over 0.3% and accuracy over 0.5% with a measuring range of 0.02-2600μm.

Secondly, the instrument has new functions of sample refractive index measurement and sample compounding, which solves the problem of particle size measurement of unknown refractive index and gradation requirements of particle size distribution by users.

In addition, the instrument is equipped with five sample feeding systems including dry dispersion, infinitesimal dry dispersion, circulating water wet dispersion, circulating solvent wet dispersion, infinitesimal solvent wet dispersion and a "push to test" button , which can meet various sample testing needs and can measure particle size from nanometer, micrometer to millimeter. Bettersizer 2600 is a versatile laser particle size analyzer.

Lastly, the instrument's sampling frequency reaches 11 kHz, which significantly improves the precision and accuracy of particle size measurement, especially for the micro-measurement (milligrams) of sample particle size by dry dispersion.


After rigorous review and fervent discussion, the experts made a conclusion: Bettersizer 2600 laser particle size analyzer which employs a variety of innovative technologies to fill the technical gap domestically, and has reached an advanced level internationally.
